Club Competition Rules
- Please ensure that you will be available to play at anytime on Finals weekend BEFORE YOU ENTER
- On the draw competition sheets the first player is the challenger and the second the opponent.
- Within 7 days of the round start date, the challenger must offer the opponent two dates to play with at least 7 days notice. In the event of the challenger not having offered any dates within this time frame, then the opponent should contact the challenger and offer two dates (the opponent is now the challenger).
- Play by dates should be adhered to and EXTENSIONS will only be granted in exceptional circumstances by the competition committee only. Should no date for a competition be mutually agreed by the play by date, then a member of the competition committee should be approached to resolve the matter and the player judged to be at fault may be eliminated.
- When a match has been agreed it must be entered into the rink book (The challenger selects the rink they wish to play on).
- On the day the challenger and opponent toss a coin to decide on the choice to start the game.
- In pairs and triples one substitute is allowed but must be selected by the competition committee. Any infringing of this rule the team will be disqualified.
- The first round of the triples competition will be played in May (see notice board). Teams will be drawn after the closing date and order of play drawn on the day.
- In singles it is the challenger’s responsibility to provide a marker, the marker must be competent enough and familiar with games rules without needing competing players to intervene with scoring.
- Do not enter results on the draw sheets on notice board. Please pin completed scorecards to the competition notice board.
The competition committee’s decision is final.
